Polonus Dance Group

 

W grudniu 2015 zespól POLONUS uczestniczył w odbywającym się w Melbourne w Australii 13-tym festiwalu PolArt2015, gdzie reprezentował dumnie Polonie z Christchurch oraz Nowa Zelandie.

  Organizowany co 3 lata festiwal jest największym festiwalem kultury polskiej odbywającym się poza Polska. W czasie jego trwania polska kultura jest prezentowana poprzez taniec, śpiew, teatr, film, sztukę oraz literaturę. Bierze w nim udział ok 800 polskich tancerzy i artystów ze środowiska polonijnego w Australli i NZ oraz goście z Polski.

  Polonus wystąpił pierwszego dnia festiwalu, 27 grudnia 2015 na Federation Square z układem tańców - polonezem, krakowiakiem oraz kujawiakiem. A nastepnie podczas koncertu galowego, który odbył się w Hamer Hall, 3 stycznia 2016, tańcząc krakowiaka. Możliwość wystąpienia razem z innymi, wspaniałymi zespołami z Australii i Nowej Zelandii była dla nas ogromnym zaszczytem.

  Kolejny Festiwal PolArt odbędzie się w Brisbane w grudniu 2018. Już nie możemy się doczekać w nim uczestnictwa.

  In the end of 2015 POLONUS participated in the 13th PolArt festival, held in Melbourne, Australia. Polonus proudly represented New Zealand and the Polish Community in Christchurch.

  Organized every three years PolArt festival is the largest festival of its kind outside of Poland. The Polish culture and heritage is celebrated through dance, songs, theatre, film, visual arts and literature. More than 800 Polish dancers and artists from Australia, New Zealand and Poland are taking part in PolArt.

  Polonus performed on the first day of the festival in Federation Square with the set of dances: polonaise, krakowiak and kujawiak and then also during the Gala Concert, at the Hamer Hall, on January 3, 2016, dancing krakowiak. It was a huge privilege to be able to perform together with other amazing groups from Australia and New Zealand.

  Next PolArt Festival will be held in Brisbane in December 2018. We simply cannot wait to be a part of it.
